You usually get a good deal when you make the effort to support small business. This post is about my last visit to R&J Tires in New Middletown, OH.
Why make the effort to support small business ?
Because you’ll have more choices – and better choices – if you’d spend more of your hard-earned money at small businesses. Particularly when you buy local. Customer service is almost always better when it comes directly from the business owner (as opposed to someone who is just “doing their job”). Chances are you might meet and get to know some memorable characters too — like “Mr. Anderson” — the receptionist at R&J Tires.
Real People Operate Small Businesses
Like Derek and Quentin at R&J Tires. They took real good care of me when I had a tire on my truck go bad. I went in on Saturday morning to see if the leak could be patched up to get me by for a while. Turned out the tire had broken belts and was scrap. They changed it out with my spare and I ordered 2 new tires (they don’t have a big warehouse with every tire size available). The new tires were in on Monday and I barely had enough time to take the pictures for this post while they finished the job. Nice work guys ! Best of all, I didn’t have to fight traffic or put up with crappy service.
Do Your Part – Make the Effort to Support Small Business
Next time you’re shopping for a product or service, please go to someplace locally owned and operated if possible. They’ll really appreciate your support and you’ll be doing a good thing. You’ll probably leave with a smile on your face as well.
